Chocolate Dessert Competition
Youth Dessert Competition
4th Annual Diabetic-Friendly Dessert Competition
2nd Annual Gluten-Free Dessert Competition

This year's judging for the food competitions will be different from previous years. There will be five judges drawn from the populace, chosen randomly via tickets issued at the door, for each competition. In this way, all entrants can focus on the quality rather than the quantity of their entries for competition purposes. Once the judges have cast their votes, the tables will be opened for all to enjoy.

Themed Dessert Display - Over the Top: Opulent Chocolate Decadence (OCD)

Calling all overly-creative artisans! We challenge you to dazzle us all with your skills in creating your best "over the top, OCD" edible display! While it must be tasty, this competition is to challenge your skills in creating the most visually wondrous creation. What could you come up with...? A cathedral-shaped cake? A white chocolate "majolica" plate? What about delicate marzipan flowers in a chocolate and marzipan basket? If your friends tell you you're crazy for attempting it, then you are on the right track!

All entries must be family-friendly and edible, as they will be open for viewing and tasting once judging has been completed. Please see the FOOD ENTRY TEMPLATE below for an example of the entry card you will be asked to fill out at registration.

Unfinished A&S Competition

This year we will host our ninth annual Unfinshed A&S Competition! Bring your unfinished projects and the stories behind their incomplete state. Your entry cannot be a project that was entered into the same category at a previous competition.

There will be awards given out in the following categories:

Silent Auction

The College of Brymstonne has been greatly honored by the generous and awe-inspiring donations to our previous silent auctions. We would be most grateful if the talented and gracious populace of the Kingdom would again show us this kind support. If you wish to donate an item or services, please email eventsteward@brymstonne.org.

Pictures of items for auction will be shown here as they become available.

Jousting

The Brymstonne Stables have been hard at work training the horses into the peak of performance - and after the energetic and frenetic competition of last year, the horses and their trainers are looking forward to another great tournament this year! As the energy of the competitors increases (as can happen with the high doses of chocolate consumed), so does that of the horses, who look forward with pride to being the fair and noble steeds chosen to be your mount in the jousting tournament.

The Brymstonne Stables will again be happily supplying horses and lances for the tournament. Both traditional and side-saddle riding will be permitted. But please: Do not bop one another on the heads or faces with the lances. It is unseemly, and will result in your disqualification from the tournament.

The tournament will again be held through a bracket-style list, and again this year as with last year, there will be a Youth competition as well as an Adult competition. Should there be enough Young Adults who choose to compete, a separate list will be created from the Youth and Adults.

Should you choose to enter this 7th Annual Jousting tournament, we request that you send your name (whatever you wish to be called for the sake of the lists), and whether you will be jousting as a Youth, Young Adult, or Adult (Youth being those children under 12, Young Adult being those children and teens between 12 and 17, and Adult being all those individuals 18 and over) to the Brymstonne Stables, so that they may be able to coordinate the joust list for the day of the tournament. Please email the Stables with your information to eventsteward@brymstonne.org.

Dancing

Dancing will be hosted by the incomparable Mistress Jehanne le feu du Christ. She is hard at work coming up with a fun dancing list, so please check back closer to the event for what is decided upon. And don't worry if you don't know the steps, or have two left feet; please come out and join in the fun! Mistress Jehanne is great at teaching, and there will surely be someone with two right feet that you can twirl around the floor with.
