Brymstonne Badge

Bacchanal

The College of Brymstonne once again cordially invites one and all to don their togas, find their fibulas, tie-on their chitons and join us for a day of revelry, games, food, and fun!

Upon your arrival you will be conscripted into either the Greek or the Trojan legions. The afternoon will be filled with field competitions and table games as well as a variety of other diversions. Throughout this past year we have been working hard training in the Brymstonne Stables. Our steeds are ready and eager to run in Brymstonne's inaugural Chariot Races! So come and be one of the first drivers to enjoy this sport!

The day’s diversions will be concluded with a battle between the opposing armies – for all who wish to participate, water and missile weapons will be provided! (Or alternative weapons, based on how warm it isn't.) Prizes will be awarded to the victorious and fortunate.

The event will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010. Site fee is $3 for adult members, $6 for adult non-members, 18 and under are free. Feast will be $7 for adults and $4 for kids, and must be prepaid to Lady Kateryn Treningham, the Brymstonne Exchequer (see below for real name and mailing address) by Saturday, March 27, 2010. Please make out any checks to "SCA - College of Brymstonne" and include a list name for those being paid for, and designate Youth or Adult by each name. The meal will be served buffet-style, and there will be a limited number of feast spots available the day of the event.

The site will open at noon, and picnic lunches are welcome...but Brymstonne will be serving a feast, and Brymstonne is known for its cooking! Feast will be served at 4pm and the site will close at 6pm. Bring blankets if you wish to lounge on the ground, or chairs if you prefer upright seating. A permit has been obtained so the site is damp. Glass containers are not permitted. There are some trees, however pavilions are advised. Smoking is allowed. Pets on leashes are welcome, but be prepared to clean up after them. Camping and fires are not allowed. Cars are allowed on paved streets and parking lots only.
